For organisations

Schools, municipalities, health and legal professionals, researchers and newsrooms: Skaldrim is a download, not a cloud service. Sound and video stay on the device.

What runs where

• Speech recognition: Whisper runs on the phone or PC, with a model stored in the app's own folder.
• Projects (captions, edits, stills) are saved in the app's folder on the device.
• Exports are saved where the user chooses. “Share” hands the file to the app the user picks.

What leaves the device

None of the content. The app only fetches the speech models the user chooses to download, from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). There is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising. We run no server that receives anything.

Offline

Once a model is downloaded, captioning and editing work without a network. On a PC a model file can also be copied in from a USB stick (Settings → Advanced).
